The second episode of season five part two premiered on the Paramount Network on Sunday, Nov. 17, with new episodes airing every Sunday.
The series made a comeback after a two-year hiatus with fans excited to see the Dutton family back on their screens. The series finale is set to premiere on Dec. 15, with many fans trying to give their input on what the episode could look like.
A Reddit user brought to light an interview from Cole Hauser speaking on the season finale. Cole plays Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone.
In an interview with Reuters, Cole said that fans will be surprised by what’s to come, even if viewers at home already have made up their minds.
According to the outlet, some of the cast members were in the dark about the ending and the team behind the show “redacted scripts to preserve it.”
He said, “This show and what they think this season is going to be — everybody has their opinion of it and to be quite honest, none of them are right.”
A Reddit user made their own theory since Cole confirmed that many of the fans theories are incorrect. They wrote, “Cole Hauser article said all fan theories are wrong. I say, “hold my beer…” Please come up with the wildest theories you can.
My start: 1. John is not dead, the hit was intercepted and he is working to bring down the fixer who is hooking up with Jamie 2. Jamie is a part owner of the Yellowstone ranch as he is the child of a Dutton sister or cousin. 3. Kayce is not a Dutton, Evelyn was having an affair and he is the result. OK let’s hear them!”
Other users gave their theory on the finale and even called Cole a “liar.” One person wrote, “Wildest take is that Cole Hauser is lying.” Another person wrote, “The John theory could be possible. Like the hit man is in on it and John knew someone was trying to kill him. Jamie and skankySarah go to prison.” A third user posted, “i think john comes back, i really do. I think this whole beef is manufactured and it’ll be part of a big reveal.”
