Mitch Thompson Hits Major 7-Year Milestone

Undeniably, Aspyn Brown Thompson picked a guy who is strong and devoted. On Mitch Thompson’s Instagram page, he lets fans know he has completed a hard-earned accomplishment.

He captions: “After 7+ years of training and a 7 hour test, I have finally earned my black belt in Krav Maga!” Then, he adds a photo as he accepts his diploma for his dedication.

Without a doubt, he shows he can stick with something he did even before they were married. Seemingly, Aspyn supports her husband in his discipline and they are doing great.

Mitch Thompson Showed Great Dedication

On Unified Krav Maga’s Instagram page, they showed what Aspyn Brown’s husband is truly made of. For the past seven years, Mitchell Thompson has shown extraordinary discipline to earn his black belt. The caption says:

Our vision is to have self-defense experts plugged into our communities who are trained, ready, and willing to make a positive impact on the lives of the good people around us.

@mitchellton13 has spent the better part of the past decade perfecting this mindset and we are so proud to announce his promotion to 1st Degree Black Belt!

Black belts requirements include:

An expert understanding of every UKM self-defense technique taught from levels 1-7
Take a fight (Muay Thai or MMA) against an unknown opponent (Mitch has taken several!)
Be a primary instructor of at least one Krav Maga class (Mitch owns our weapons defenses classes held every Tuesday and he taught jiu-jitsu before that)
Heavily involved in the development of the Unified Krav Maga curriculum
Provide an expert’s perspective of the effectiveness of each UKM self defense technique we teach
Impactful mentor to all students, peers, and other instructors (humble, kind, approachable, confident, courageous, and constructive)

Mitch is the epitome of what we expect our black belts to look like and has consistently emulated each one of the requirements highlighted above. We are thrilled to recognize him as our newest black belt (# 8 in our school’s history!) and we are incredibly excited to see what he accomplishes in the future!

Both Aspyn Brown and Mitch Thompson seem to adore each other. Together they are supporting one another and celebrating the small and big accomplishments in their lives. After Mitch posted, family and friends were quick to show their support as well.
